Ben's 2009 Dodger Dog Count - 9 Kate's 2009 Dodger Dog Count - 4
Hello, I'm Ben. Nice to meet you.
2009 marks the first year I have ever owned season tickets, and I bought them for my favorite baseball team of all time, The Dodgers. Knowing that many of the people who follow my regular tumblr would not be interested in the constant barrage of Dodgers posts, I decided to start a blog exclusively for everything Dodgers. My photos, game recaps, thoughts, news, history, etc. If it's the Dodgers (or at least baseball related), it goes here. Also contributing to the baseblog : Kate
Kardashian blogs: “It’s a little odd to see myself on a billboard, but I’m thrilled to be the new face of the Dodgers and it’s a real honor to represent my home team.”
Kate and I went down for Weaver vs. Weaver. Broxton was a little shaky in his return giving up a walk and then a home run to Gary Matthews Jr. but Russell Martin hit his first homer of the year and the Dodgers still got the 6-4 win.
Also, Dodger fans actually might be the biggest assholes in baseball. More on that later when I feel like launching into a real rant.
What a great series. Last night Joe Torre passed Sparky Anderson to claim the fifth spot for all time wins by a manager, and O-Dog hit a home run. I can’t believe the defense put up by Orlando Hudson, how some of his grabs in the last few games didn’t end up being ESPN Baseball Tonight Web Gems I will have no idea.
But more importantly in baseball. The Nationals took the rubber game at Yankee stadium for their second win vs the Yankees in 3 games. Pretty amazing considering they had only won SIX GAMES on the road all season before that. Also, as it happens, it was the first game at new Yankee Stadium without a home run. I have a love for the underdog and would love to see the Nationals make an NL east pennant in the next couple years (as long as the Dodgers knock em out in the NLDS or NLCS.) Go Dodgers! :)
The reversed call against Loney at first aggravated me because it was almost the exact call that went AGAINST Loney last week when he went for the tag after making the catch with his foot on the bag. I guess the bad calls dont always even out. But I knew the Bison was gonna have a clutch hit so I wasn’t sweating.
Kershaw was rocky again trying to make that third strike, but with our offense and defense behind him.. we can’t be stopped!
Is this how you “celebrate” your team winning a championship? Bunch of assholes.
Tagging, Looting, and Destruction? C’mon people, show some respect for your city and your fellow man. That’s somebody’s car!
When the Dodgers win the World Series lets shut down Sunset by hugging in the street! Oh who am I kidding? I’ll just make sure my car stays parked somewhere safe.
back on steroids?
Cant wait to see how Manny performs post controversy. If his performance is suffering we’re buying pavilion seats and spelling out “WHERE’S JUAN?” in tee shirt letters.
